Sacred Stones 2017 Training | Level One & Two

Environmental Yoga Program

Level 1
Date: April 16 - April 24, 2017
Time: Beginning at 6:00 am every day
Tuition: $1300 + GST per intensive
Total Hours: 100 Hours

Level 1 brings students from all over the world as we start our journey of exploration. We build our teaching skills together in a supportive small group environment by layering one practice on another and by openly studying, discussing and experiencing our learning. It is important that we have hands on experience and that we are together focused on the tools from the Yogic tradition which will support our life and the environment we live in. We focus on the Jivamukti and Ashtanga lineages, with practices such as “The Magic Ten,” the standing series and the primary series.
Level 2
Date: June 19 - June 27, 2017
Time: Beginning at 6:00 am every day
Tuition: $1300 + GST per intensive
Total Hours: 100 Hours
Level 2 focusses on the second part of the primary series and builds on the foundations and experiences from the earlier training and the period after Level 1. Further deeper studies and more extensive teaching group practices combine existing and new elements to fully round out the teaching being presented.

Stones of various kinds and sizes have been invested with sacredness from the earliest times. This probably was the most revered object of all the stationary medicine. Stones are from the earth sent to remind us to be in ceremony daily together.

The Sacred Stones Environmental Yoga Program is a 200 hour continuing education program taught by Tina Pashumati James and assisted by Victoria Grace Lopez. Working directly in a mentorship system enhances practical teaching skills, ingrains the practices of asana, meditation, pranayama and sacred ceremonies, contributes to professional enhancement and the deepening of personal sadhana, and helps cultivate a strong self-practice whilst honouring and acknowledging the lineage. The program features individually-tailored personal and professional development with an emphasis on Bhakti (devotion), Nada (chanting, Sanskrit) and Asana (mutually beneficial relationships) and First Nations teachings & ceremonies & more!

The Program seeks to develop Teachers who:

1) Integrate daily yoga asana, pranayama and meditation practice;

2) Are professional, experienced and confident;

3) Teach from a solid foundation of ahimsa and activism;

4) Are knowledgeable about the history, tradition and language of Ashtanga, Jivamukti and Yoga Therapy lineages
